About the Role
We’re seeking a Master’s student in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related field, passionate about applying cutting-edge AI and data engineering in real-world scenarios. You'll help develop solutions for some of our most innovative projects.
Project Topics (choose one or pitch us):
All topics can be refined based on your university's regulations and interests.
Autonomous Agents & Multi-Agent Networks
Design, implement, and evaluate distributed agent architectures.
Developing a Model Context Protocol (MCP)
Design and implement a robust MCP interface layer on top of an existing multi-agent architecture of us. The goal is to standardize how agents share contextual information, memory, and tool outputs.
Evaluation of RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) Technologies
Compare LLM-based approaches (e.g., embeddings, knowledge retrieval, vector DBs) in efficiency, accuracy, latency and cost.
Data‑Pipeline Setup & Management
Architect and optimize ingestion, transformation, and orchestration pipelines for multi-source data.
Developing Evaluation Functions for Agent Performance & Reliability
Build a comprehensive evaluation framework or utilize an existing one to measure the effectiveness and dependability of our autonomous agents by collecting and synthesizing relevant test datasets and simulation scenarios.
Machine Learning Case Studies
Develop and validate predictive analytics, clustering, or recommendation models on real client data.
Machine Learning Case Studies
Develop and validate predictive analytics, clustering, or recommendation models on real client data.
Our Setup:
We love to collaborate in person and have a strong preference for candidates who can join us regularly in our Cologne office.
For the right candidate, we’re open to remote work within European time zones.
Agile project management with a focus on collaboration and adaptability.
What You'll Gain:
Real-world impact: Your work will be integrated into actual client solutions.
Cutting-edge technology: Hands-on with autonomous systems, RAG, and data pipelines.
Mentorship: Guidance from Nandu.ai’s founding team and senior engineers.
Flexible working: Hybrid model with remote days and Cologne office time.
Pathway to future careers: Opportunity to transition into a full-time role based on performance.
Requirements
Currently enrolled in a relevant Master’s program.
Programming skills (We work with Python; experience with AI/ML libraries is a plus).
Familiarity with LLMs, agent frameworks, data engineering tools, or ML workflows (You don’t have to be a pro in these topics - we know you’re just starting.)
Self-driven, creative problem-solver.
Proficient in English or German.
Duration should be ~6 months (or as per university regulations)
